Attended a show at "the underground". The space is nice and enjoyed the concert, but the beers are served with too much head and are priced too high. My biggest issue is with the barre ding staff and their lack of personality and serving skills. It seemed as if asking them for a drink was an inconvenience.

Maybe it's because I am from NYC and LA area and have eaten at some of the best restaurants....BUT I am all about a good diner! And ladies and gentlemen this is NOT it. First of all if there is fruit flies flying around in any restaurant just leave. Came here for lunch place was EMPTY. Sat in the one of many booths and ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It wasn't great but it wasn't awful either. Friend had a sandwich as well but didn't really enjoy hers. Service is okay. Overall it is just MEH. Very ugly interior and very plain food.

Big portions for a decent price. The service is usually good. For a neighborhood bar and grille, you really can't beat it. The nice selection of take out beer, including several craft and local beers is awesome too.

We were sitting at a table for about 20 minutes menu-less unit I physically got up and picked up the menus MYSELF. Also with having to go up to a few waitresses THREE times, as they said they would get somebody. And it was NOT busy in the restaurant area. So how come we weren't being served? I FINALLY ordered the mix and match: linguini, pesto sauce and chicken. Barely anything on my plate and it was tasteless. No flavor at all. I'm one to finish all my food whether it's tasteless or not. That wasn't the case here. And I feel like it's one of those restaurants that have such a variety on the menu that they don't know how to cook any of it, kind of like any diner. So recap: disgusting food, smallest portions, worst service.

The food is actually okay at Gulliftys--the baked potato soup is awesome, their salads are fresh and delicious, and their sandwiches are huge and tasty. The service is absolutely awful. I have heard that Gulliftys hires a lot of family members as servers and I guess it is for that reason that these people are still working there. They act like filling your drink is such a huge chore, take forever to bring you anything, and forget your order. Terrible terrible service, probably the worst in the area.

We've got a new favorite place to eat when we're in Harrisburg. We used to look forward to Mulligan's, but after another experience of driving there (20 minutes from our hotel) and waiting, and waiting, getting wrong orders, returning food and, did I mention waiting some more, we decided to give this place a shot. WOW. I had the open turkey sandwich done on pressed and grilled potato filling instead of bread. Unbelievable. My fiance had one of their specialty pizzas, the buffalo chicken and was equally impressed. She started with a cup of French Onion and I did the Crab and Corn bisque. Both were up amongst the best we ever had.

i've been going here for decades, since Club Zee's... anyway.... it was much better years ago before the "Amish cocaine" days. but has gone downhill like the stock market crash of 1929, and judging from all the other reviews this place has really lost it.

The food is always excellent and the prices reasonable. 4.5 - 5 based on those two criteria. Unfortunately the service is consistently terrible. Loving the food and atmosphere, we have given the service many opportunities, hoping each time for improvement - but to no avail. No matter if it is crowded or relatively empty, you WILL wait for your food, and wait, and wait...

I had a mango mai tai on the patio, and it was delicious and refreshing. The Patio is kind of boring, It can use some decorating, but it was nice to sit outside. I did not order food, so I cannot comment on that. The waitress was knowledgable and competent and kind.

Great local place for food and environment. If you're looking for a low key bar to hang out with a few friends this is your spot! Pool tables, touch tunes and TV's. If you want a more quiet experience you can sit in the dining room. Check their site for bands, which play downstairs where there is another full bar; usually, a cover charge applies.

I've been here a few times and never seem to have any of the service problems others are referring to. The food is really good I especially like the German menu they have in the fall for Oktoberfest. My only complaint is having to use the men's room means going into another area of the restaurant which is a smoke filled bar they lose a star for that.

Been here many times. Tonight I got my food twice not as advertised on the menu. Pittsburgh wedge on flat bread. First time no fries or clowslaw. 2nd time 20 minutes after every one else ate got my fries and slaw with lettuce and tomato on my flat bread. It was not bad but the timing was way off. I paid the tab $ 300 no problem but I did not eat my meal everyone else was done. They need help the place was empty. I don't know why. The waitress was very friendly and courteous. The kitchen needs help.

Came back at the urging of a friend to listen to some live music. I was impressed with their downstairs stage venue. It is seems to have a good acoustic and lighting set up. We sat at the bar and usually had a clear view of the bands. Still haven't had anything to eat here and maybe that is just the way its meant to be.

This place has been around since I can remember and back in the day, it was great. Over the years it has been on the decline with the food taking a nosedive, awful service, and what broke the camels back for me was the drinks. I've been a bartender for 10 years and I know my alcohol. I had a bunch of friends visiting me and I had just scooped them up at the train station and hit this bar with just enough time for some shots. We all ordered different shot of the high end alcohol and downed them. Everyone at once looked at one another with the same comment. There was no way that was that was the correct alcohol that was in that bottle. They very clearly filled the top shelf bottles with substitute cheaper alcohol. That is illegal and can carry heavy fines if caught. I mentioned something to the bartender, though she couldn't care less. I will never be back.

We stopped by Gullifty's around 2 pm on Monday afternoon, which meant we had the luxury of having the whole place pretty much to ourselves. The Papa John's Bowl, featuring NC State and Rutgers, wasn't as big of a draw as one would imagine. We were seated in one of their many booths not too far from the entrance. The booth was spacious and comfortable, with long wooden benches and a wooden table. We had a clear view of the TV on the wall as well. I imagine this place gets pretty loud during big games, although the menu advertises "casual upscale dining." I ordered one of their specialty sandwiches, a Pittsburgh Prima Wedgy. If you've never had a wedgy before, don't be alarmed. It's nothing like the wedgie* you would get from your neighborhood bully! It's a lot less painful and a lot less embarrassing. In fact, a Gullifty's wedgy is an open faced sandwich served on delicious, freshly made pita bread. It was served with greasy potato chips. My wedgy came fully loaded with slightly overcooked steak, fried egg, coleslaw, delicious Russian dressing and a half a dozen french fries. It tasted pretty good, but I could not figure out a graceful way to eat it. I attacked it with a fork and a knife, although I am sure there are better ways of handling it. You know what they say though: there's no wrong way to eat a wedgy. Service was a little slow, but quite friendly. I bet they weren't expecting any customers at 2 pm on a Monday, and I bet they're usually more efficient when they're busier. If I lived nearby, I wouldn't mind watching a game at Gullifty's while enjoying a wedgy or two. I know there aren't that many quotes out there that relate to wedgies and food, but I strongly believe there's a Seinfeld quote for every occasion: "ELAINE: Why do they call it a wedgie? GEORGE: Because the underwear is pulled up from the back and ... it wedges in. JERRY: They also have an atomic wedgie. Now the goal there is to actually get the waistband on top of the head.
